PGCAG OFFICIAL STATEMENT ON COVID-19 SITUATION

Please be guided by the following announcement..

To ALL our PGCAG/AOG Leaders and Pastors,

This is an ADVISORY in response to the ‘situation that we are in right now’.  There are ideas floating telling Churches to cancel their Sunday Morning Services, creating confusion to some.

Our response is NO. We will NOT adhere to that. ALL AOG Churches are encouraged NOT to CANCEL THEIR SUNDAY MORNING Services. This is the only time that every church member can be encouraged with this impending challenge. All we need to do right now on top of the challenge to PRAY and have FAITH are the following:

ONE: follow the necessary health protocols provided by the national and local governments.

TWO: shorten the services perhaps to an hour and a half;

THREE: Ushers and marshals will prepare alcohol and spray the hands of everyone as they come in.

FOUR: Alcohol and/or running water will be provided for people to wash their hands – but provide paper towels that can be immediately disposed:

FIVE: Those who are not feeling well and physically compromised – for example – those whose kidneys are not functioning well, are encouraged to stay home;

SIX: Members who are coughing and having colds should wear masks and better still stay home.

SEVEN: Refrain from shaking hands and the customary ‘beso-beso’.

EIGHT: Be vigilant and encourage one another. This is the time that THE CHURCH must BE THE LIGHT & SALT OF THE EARTH! Let us win many people for Christ who is the ONLY HOPE IN THIS WORLD!.

Know that this is NOT about religious freedom – this is about DOING OUR PART in preventing the spread of the virus.
