On July 5-8, the PCEC (Philippine Council of Evangelical Churches) – perhaps the strongest evangelical voice in the country, where the PGCAG, Inc. is among its outstanding members – held their 32nd National Assembly in the Davao Insular Hotel in Lanang, Davao City. This assembly is held annually and is an avenue for fellowship, empowerment and for the election of new officers.
In this assembly, Rev. Dr. David A. Sobrepeña was among the delegates along with Rev Gerry L. Cabajes, one of the members of the PGCAG’s Board of Trustees. The PCEC also made Pastor Dave a part of the program where he was given the stage to speak and encourage the other members and everyone present. He was introduced and recognized as the General Superintendent and President of the Philippine General Council of the Assemblies of God, Incorporated and Senior Pastor of Word of Hope, Inc. Truly we are witnessing the Lord moving mightily in our country and in seeing God’s people come together, united in the cause of the great commission, the future of the Philippines is indeed looking brighter as we continue to surge forward.
